There are good reasons and bad reasons for doing the training and development in your organization. Knowing the benefits of training have to be able to help solve problems in your organization, allowing you to make the right decisions at the right time, ensuring that the limited training dollars are used effectively.<br />

<strong>Chaos World of Work </strong></p>
<p>If our working world is stable, and not many problems that arise, we may not be too worried about training. We may still do so to provide staff development but will be more important to the success of the organization.</p>
<p>All you need to do is look around your own organization, and you will likely see significant changes that have occurred over the last year. You may have lived through down-size, rearrangement, change policies, increased workload, flatten management structures, and a number of other changes. It is unlikely that this change will stop in the future.</p>
<p>Changes have been accelerated to the point where some organizations are in chaos, and most of the least swayed. What all this means that a change in our working world, new skills, knowledge and concepts necessary to achieve our corporate objectives. And, our personal goals. Just to stay even, and just to maintain sanity.</p>
<p>Because the changes occur at such high speeds, while we may have to take our jobs when we qualify, we may now have a gap in our knowledge. At the management level, the skills needed to manage a flat organization, a Total Quality Management organization, or Special Operations Agency differently than we have. At the employee level, it is no different. Changes in technology or changes in the way the organization is managed, or even increase the workload in an organization, and change them so that new skills and capabilities necessary for new expectations can be met.</p>
<p><strong>What Training Can Do </strong></p>
<p>Training can menghasilakn many things. Can help people learn new skills needed to meet the new expectations, both formal and informal. For example, a support staff person may have been hired initially for self-ability to type, to answer the phone and files. But now, with the increasing workload, we want people to be able to do more &#8230; possible to solve the problem of the client, to use the desktop publishing process, to handle more than everyday problems, so we can use time more effectively. Training can help people accept the challenge of developing their work.</p>
<p>Training also can help to:</p>
<p>. build a common understanding of organizational goals.</p>
<p>. demonstrate management commitment and loyalty to employees</p>
<p>. develop people so they can increase responsibility and contribute to the organization in new ways.</p>
<p><strong>What training can not do </strong></p>
<p>There are many things that can not be done by training. Training, by itself, can not effectively change the employee does not become effective. It is not possible to address ALL the causes of poor performance. Limited training also will not change the poor to become supervisors or managers who are effective, unless coupled with ongoing guidance from above.</p>
<p>The training will not remove the problem that occurs as a result of poor structuring of work, working with the mismatches, no clear authority and responsibility, or other related organizations.</p>
<p><strong>Training As A Tool </strong></p>
<p>If a manager expects things to improve as a result of training, he should ensure that there to support the use of this tool, and that no non-training related to social problems.</p>
<p>To conclude, the training can be a valuable tool for organizations and managers, provided it is the RIGHT tools to solve problems or overcome the problems identified. Even then, should be on supporting the organization so that training can be effective.</p>

* Do not do all this so that you appear to try to create a &#8220;score points&#8221;, or manipulate the boss. Do it because you want to contribute the best of your ability and the attitude that if no notification, it is good, provided that the work makes people more easily. (This is a mindset to prevent you seen as a selfish, manipulative employees).</p>

A good way to help yourself is to help some of the job when your boss&#8217;s boss did not want something that is not what she wanted. So, you need to know your particular boss well enough to know what you can do and what your boss does not want to do. We mentioned that knowing the limits of your authority and your actions.</p>
<p><strong>Some tips to help you out</strong></p>
<p>* Get to know your boss well enough to understand what a burden on his mind. A good way to think about this is to ask yourself: &#8220;What causes the boss to be fussy?<br />
* Check what you can do from your position in the organization to help overcome the boss &#8220;makes me crazy&#8221; problem.<br />
* Determine whether you should do something to help or not. If you know the boss well enough, you may also know what the limits of authority and your actions. However, it is always good to check, and offer solutions to the previous boss, and if necessary, ask for permission to finish it. Which makes less well is likely your boss will feel it breaking in the region.<br />
* Do not do all this so that you appear to try to create a &#8220;score points&#8221;, or manipulate the boss. Do it because you want to contribute the best of your ability and the attitude that if no notification, it is good, provided that the work makes people more easily. (This is a mindset to prevent you seen as a selfish, manipulative employees).</p>

It seems quite clear that employees need to know what their job requires &#8211; roles, responsibilities and authority levels. We do not expect people to do their jobs effectively if they do not know what they should do. However, one area that people tend to ignore is how well employees understand what <strong>OTHER PEOPLE DO</strong> in their organization. Why is it important?</p>
<p><span id="more-170"></span>Recently, I was doing customer service training and customer hostile to tame a large organization. Constant theme continue to appear (and is quite common). A customer would call in with some kind of trouble or problems, and those who answered the phone the caller will be transferred to others. Unfortunately, the next person took the phone was not the right person, or not available, leaving the customers to leave voice messages, or once again, could go to someone else. Often frustrated customers will eventually call the first person to call back to them.</p>
<p>How did this happen? Is employee stupid? Or may not be disturbed? Probably not. They only lack the information they need to provide good quality customer service to the caller. And what are the results? First, angry customers. Second, stress and frustration on the part of staff caught up in this shuffle. Third, some terrible inefficiency for the organization itself, which affects the bottom line.</p>
<p>The problem is that we do not educate staff in the &#8220;bigger picture&#8221;. In this case, that the bigger picture related to what other people do, their various skills, and other employees working relationships with each other. Before we talk about specific &#8220;fixes&#8221;, consider this.</p>
<p>This is very rare employees work does not depend on the work of others in their workplace. These days, getting the job done has become more complex, where the ability to get something that is achieved often involve cooperation with others, or some degree of teamwork. Customer service side, the workplace where people understand their own work and work of others (such as how the whole puzzle fits together) would be more effective and more productive.</p>
<p><strong>Helping People Understand The Larger Puzzle </strong></p>
<p>New employees should be oriented and educated not only about their own jobs, but about what other people do, and who speaks when the faces with a variety of situations. They need to know who has the power of decision-making, and who have the skills they may need. That&#8217;s far more important than knowing where the bathroom is (well, it can be debated!).</p>
<p>A workplace that is constantly changing. Responsibilities changed, and so did the role of work. Management must take an active role in keeping employees up to date about changes that affect not only their own jobs, but jobs and roles of others. This is even more important in a team-based and project-based environment. Regular staff meetings can be used to do this in a sustainable way, and does not need time-intensive. Often times, the staff updates can take only a few minutes.</p>
